Artisan Vendors
Artisans are persons who craft with their own hands the products they offer for sale. Artisans should incorporate materials produced in Washington as much as possible. Artisans must create their craft products in Washington. All works must be original to the artisan. Twenty five percent or less may be made by another family member, but must be declared when selling. These items also need to be juried. Please disclose on vendor application.
Based on WSFMA rules, the total of all artisans (this includes crafters and prepared foods) must not exceed 50 percent of total vendors. We have limited space. Once the limit has been reached potential artisans will be put on a waiting list. Farmers will always be given first priority for booth space.
NEW Farmers Market strives to maintain a good variety of high quality artisan products. To accomplish this the number of vendors selling like products in each of the following categories may be restricted:
Jewelry
Fiber arts/clothing
Woodworking
Photography/paper products
Bath/body products
Pottery
Prepared food
Services (must be provided at the market)
Jury Process
All artisans are required to provide samples or at least three (3) (non-returnable) product photos of works in progress, along with a detailed description of the product they intend to sell. Food vendors will need to provide a list of products (and applicable health department licenses).
New vendors must call the market manager to arrange for jurying. New products are juried on a weekly basis. After the jury process has been completed new vendors will be notified as to their vendor status, i.e. on a waiting list, able to set up the following week or if their application has been denied.
Returning vendors will only need the jury process for a new product line. A complete product list (category/sub category) must be included with your application i.e. jewelry/earrings. A complete inventory list is not necessary.
During peak produce weeks craft vendors may have to forfeit their space at the market. They will be notified if they will not have a space for the upcoming week.
